Are the resorts still offering refillable travel mugs? If so, how much are the mugs and are the refills free?

    Welcome to planDisney, Tara!

I see you’ve got a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort planned for next month, and I know just how excited you’re getting. Soon you'll be enjoying a hot cup of coffee and getting ready for a day filled with magic, or a frosty beverage as you relax poolside at your resort. Swoon!

I’m pleased to confirm that Walt Disney World Resort hotels are still selling Resort Refillable Mugs. If you look at the menu for a Quick Service dining location at the resort hotel where you’re staying, you can see the current price for the mug. At the time I’m writing this, the Resort Refillable Mug is priced at $19.99 each; pricing is subject to change. Some resort hotels may carry a second style of mug, which is stainless steel and currently costs $29.99 (subject to change); I've seen this mug in Star Wars and Disney Skyliner designs. Here’s how it works: once you purchase the mug, you’ll be able to access all you care to drink refills of coffee, tea, and fountain soda from the beverage stations at Disney resort hotel Quick Service dining locations for the length of stay. Please note that these mugs cannot be refilled in the theme parks, only at resorts.

The mug works a little differently during the Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening. For health and safety reasons, a Cast Member will provide you with a to-go cup filled with your beverage of choice, which you are welcome to pour into your mug. I always pack a small dish soap to keep in my resort hotel room to clean our mugs, and I also pack reusable straws and a small straw brush.

Tara, I consider the Resort Refillable Mug a must-have during a Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay. I have quite a collection at home – they make great souvenirs, and are also fun to use when my kiddos have friends visiting. When I’m missing my happy place, I pull one out and smile, thinking about all those great memories.

As you count down the days, your friends here at planDisney are here to help with any more questions. I also love reading the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates - whether it’s health and safety updates or the latest pixie-dusted cupcake flavor, they’ve got you covered! Have so much fun planning and dreaming - I’m raising my mug and saying cheers to your amazing, right-around-the-corner vacation!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
