Hiya Cailyn - welcome to planDisney!Walt Disney World Resort's amazing collection of Resort hotels offers a wide range of accommodations and amenities - there's truly something for everyone! Smart TVs are something that many of us rely on at home, so to make your Disney Resort room feel more like home, Disney is in the process of upgrading to new Smart TVs, or Interactive TVs as they're formally referred to, in many Resorts! This project has been going on for a couple of years now, and as a result, there are fewer and fewer Resorts without these new Interactive TVs.Based on my own personal experiences, I can confirm that the following Resorts have been upgraded to the new Interactive TVs:Disney's All-Star Movies ResortDisney's Animal Kingdom Lodge ResortDisney's Contemporary ResortDisney's Coronado Springs ResortDisney's Polynesian Village ResortDisney's Port Orleans ResortsDisney's Riviera ResortDisney's Saratoga Springs Resort & SpaDisney's Wilderness Lodge ResortDisney's Yacht & Beach Club ResortsThese updates have been happening at a pretty quick pace, and I notice you're not planning to visit until next August. By that time, I think you'll have a hard time finding a Resort without these new Interactive TVs. In the meantime, if there is a specific Resort not listed above that you want to know about, I suggest writing back to us and we can help investigate, or you can use the chat feature on the Walt Disney World Resort website or within the My Disney Experience Mobile App. They can provide you with up-to-date information closer to your arrival. These Interactive TVs are a great addition to already magical accommodations. Not only do they support streaming from Chromecast-enabled devices and apps, but they also provide Guests with personalized greetings, important information about the Theme Parks and other activities, and some great background music. In fact, when I stay at Disney's Riviera Resort I leave the TV on and the volume up any time I'm in the room!Speaking of "smarts" - have you heard about the innovative new “Hey Disney!” companion coming soon to Disney Resorts Collection hotels? While Mickey's Imagineers are still putting some finishing touches on this new optional feature for Guests, you might be able to experience it during your trip next year!Ryan J.
