Do the resorts still offer a magic card option if you are unable to wear the magic bands due to skin irritations? Thank you!

    Welcome Home, Kyle!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about MagicBands and Walt Disney World Resort theme park Admission Cards.

You will be thrilled to know that yes, RFID-enabled Admission Cards are still available at all Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. In addition, if you prefer to use a plastic RFID-enabled card for room entry instead of a MagicBand, simply request one at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel.

However, if you are unable to wear your MagicBand on your wrist due to skin irritations you have some additional options. My grandmother always develops a rash on her wrist when wearing anything on it for more than a couple of hours. I understand why you would want to plan for this in advance.

The new MagicBand 2 style introduced in 2017 allows you to remove the center MagicBand 2 Icon and “pop" it into a handy MagicKeeper Medal which can then be hung from a lanyard, backpack, or purse! These MagicKeeper Medals come in adorable Disney-inspired shapes such as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse heads. There is also a MagicKeeper Carabiner option which is great for those who want to carry a more understated design. The options are endless at Walt Disney World Resort!

Kyle, if you have any additional questions please visit the Moms Panel again. We are always here to help you plan the “practically perfect” Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Wishing you Endless Magic,
