What resorts offer Favorite week contracts? Does DVC sell favorite week contracts at Copper Creek or Grand Floridian?

Hi Jimmy and welcome home! The Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points system provides members with the ultimate flexibility to book any resort, any room type, for any length of stay. But I definitely understand the convenience of having a Favorite Week (referred to into our contract documentation as Fixed Ownership Interests), especially if there’s certain events that's likely to occur the same time of year, like a runDisney event or a birthday. Now let’s dive into your question!

Jimmy, I recently spoke to a DVC Cast Member and he confirmed that DVC currently offers Favorite Week contracts for many DVC resorts, including some of the featured ones such as Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, the Villas at Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Riviera Resort, the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. In addition, this also extends to some of the resorts for which DVC has limited availability such as Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. However, this is subject to which resort, room type and category, and week you are interested in purchasing. If you are a current member, I suggest reaching out to your DVC guide or contacting the DVC Sales Center. If you're not yet a member, you can always schedule a virtual meeting and webinar to explore membership further or visit one of the DVC kiosks at a theme park or your Resort hotel during your next visit!

Here’s some additional information for you to better understand Favorite Week contracts to help you decide if they are right for you and your family. Favorite Week contracts are fixed week reservations that lasts from Sunday to Sunday for a particular room type and category. However, should you decide one year that you can’t use that Favorite Week, you have the option to cancel that reservation and have those Vacation Points returned for you to use as normal. DVC guides and Cast Members can provide additional information for you such as specific point charts that show how many points are necessary to purchase a Favorite Week and relevant pricing information.

Jimmy, I hope this information is helpful for you as you explore a membership interest in a Favorite Week. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
