Hi Bernadine,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
For my family, the resorts with the most convenient transportation options are the
deluxe and deluxe villa resorts with access to the
resort monorail. Our favorites are Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort. The resorts with access to the resort monorail also have bus and
water transportation options.
Disney's Contemporary Resort has a walking path to Magic Kingdom. It takes us 10 minutes or less to walk the distance give or take a few minutes to get through the security checkpoint along the way. Having access to that walking path is phenomenal when trying to leave Magic Kingdom after the fireworks show. When we have park hopper tickets and are staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, we often spend the morning at one park, return to the resort to visit the pool and then walk back to Magic Kingdom at night to do additional rides and see the fireworks.
We also recently stayed at Disney's BoardWalk Inn, in close proximity to Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts. We loved being able to walk to Epcot and having access to the shops and entertainment along the BoardWalk. It was also easy to use our complimentary mini golf vouchers that came with our vacation package. It took us about 15 minutes to walk from Disney's BoardWalk Inn to
Fantasia Gardens and Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf.
Bernadine, I trust you will find a lovely resort hotel for this visit!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
