Hey, howdy, hey, Kathy and welcome back! I'm so glad you're hEAR in Andy's backyard...
oops, I mean planDisney, planning another trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Kathy, I love the planning stage when we are choosing which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel we'll next get to visit and I'm happy to chat with you about your current options. You are correct that at this time
Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside does not yet have a reopening date. I love the sweet Southern vibes of this property and its sister resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter and am hoping we will see their doors open again soon. My best recommendation is to keep a close watch on the
Disney Parks Blog as Star Command releases Galactic announcements there first.
Kathy, in the meantime, if you're exploring other options, I have three suggestions you may want to consider. The first is the Gran Destino Tower at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I love the rooms in the newest tower addition to this property and found them modern, but warm and in close proximity to
El Mercado de Coronado (and only a short walk away from other great dining options).
My second suggestion (that is a big more budget friendly) is
Disney's Pop Century Resort. My family and I stayed here recently and loved the whimsical theme of this resort that is even evident in the staircases! While the rooms are a bit smaller, the access to
the Disney Skyliner can't be oversold.
Finally, Kathy, if you're interested in a touch of luxury, I always recommend
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I love how all of the rooms at this resort are convenient to the lobby, dining options and the water transportation to Magic Kingdom Park. No matter how many resorts we visit, my husband still ranks this property as his favorite!
Kathy, while I know this wasn't the information you were wishing for, I do hope it gives you some inspiration for your next trip. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to see all the toys
(ER- I mean, panelists) hEAR at planDisney!
