Hi Mary - thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Disney's
Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite theme park so I'm always grateful when my budget allows me to stay close. The three closest resorts to Magic Kingdom are:
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney's Contemporary Resort. It can be difficult to choose from one of these fabulous resorts so I would recommend choosing based on the theme that connects most with you. The good news is, no matter which resort you choose, they all have access to the
Walt Disney World Monorail so it's very easy to get to any of these hotels for a visit. There is also a Monorail stop at Magic Kingdom making it super convenient.
Additionally, Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa each have walking paths to Magic Kingdom and
Disney Water Transportation is available at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
There are two other resorts nearby that I'd like to mention.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and the
Cabins and
Campsites at Fort Wilderness Resort. These resorts use Disney's Water Transportation to access Magic Kingdom.
Mary, as you can see you have many options to choose from. From the resorts I mentioned above, our family favorite is Disney's Contemporary Resort followed by Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I plan on staying at one of these resorts in November.
I hope you find this information helpful. If you need further assistance narrowing down your resort selection, please let us know.
