Disney Vacation Club Member. I am always supportive of any vacation plans involving Hawaii, and I'm here to share some information about options to use your Membership to venture beyond the reef. Let's dive right in!
As you likely know, DVC Members can use
Vacation Points to book a stay at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa on the island of Oahu. We visited Aulani for our first official vacation as Members, and it was simply incredible - it combines so many aspects of Hawaiian culture with some special Disney touches. For DVC Members who don't have Aulani as their Home Resort, reservations can be made 7 months before their planned check-in date.
Bonnie, your question makes me think that you're looking for something beyond Aulani, and I'm happy to report that your Membership does offer some additional options for a Hawaiian getaway! Members may exchange points for stays with
Interval International, which is a global vacation exchange network that allows you to visit destinations around the world. I took a peek at the Interval search site today and was able to find many different options for stays in Hawaii for next November!
To make a reservation with Interval, you can book online or call
Member Services for a friendly assist. I generally prefer calling for this type of transaction to make sure I don't miss anything! Keep in mind that exchanging your points carries a one-time, non-refundable fee (currently $95, subject to change).
