Hello there, Sheryl!
I’m so glad that you stopped by planDisney, because I can’t go anywhere without my little fur baby. I can’t wait to take my dog to the Walt Disney World Resort because I know they are so accommodating.
The following four Disney Resort hotels have designated
dog-friendly accommodations:
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort,
Disney Port Orleans Resort - Riverside,
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and
the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. I love that the Walt Disney World Resort offers Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Resort Hotel options for our little friends. These options are perfect since they are close to green spaces with pet relief areas and have easy access to outdoor walkways.
Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit. Please note that a maximum of two dogs are allowed per Guest room and dogs are expected to be well-behaved, leashed in public areas, and properly vaccinated. Outside of these Resort hotels, only service animals are permitted in theme parks, Disney Springs, water parks or on Disney Transportation.
Therefore, I recommend looking into
Best Friends Pet Hotel for an overnight or daytime boarding option when you plan on visiting the theme parks. In fact, they are currently offering a pilot program with pick-up and drop-off service at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. For a fee, you can request pick-up and drop-off transportation through Best Friends when you book a boarding option. This is such an awesome perk that will save you time at the Walt Disney World Resort. I hope you found these tips paws-itively helpful.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
