Do any of the resorts have adjoining rooms? We are a large family but don't really want a villa. I really don't want a 'full kitchen'..otherwise I might be forced to make some food on my vacation!! :) Thanks for any advice! Love this panel!!

    Lisa:

I like your thinking! No cooking while on vacation!

Let me give you a hint: when making your rooming reservations ask for CONNECTING rooms if you want a door between the two rooms. ADJOINING will simply get you a room that is next door, not necessarily with a connecting door. We learned this lesson when staying at All-Star Movies. Thankfully, we had grandparents with us, but we may not have been as happy if it had just been our immediate family of six--especially with the outside entrances.

Although no room request is guaranteed, I certainly recommend that when making your reservations that you ask the agent to make a note on your reservation for the connecting room because of your family makeup. Then, call about 10 to 15 days out to confirm that the request is still with your reservation so that the staff who is making rooming assignments can do their best to accommodate you.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
