TRON at Night; Magic Kingdom

    We have a resort stay from June 8th to 13th and an annual pass with no blackout dates. If we make a reservation for Animal Kingdom on Sunday June 9th can we park hop to Magic Kingdom that evening?

    Thanks for bringing your question to us. I'd be delighted to answer your question. Let's talk about making theme park reservations as an Annual Passholder!

    You'll be happy to learn that you only need to make theme park reservations for the first park you plan to visit. After entering Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you're welcome to hop to any park you like without a reservation. There are a few days each year when park hopping is temporarily suspended due to capacity constraints, but this typically only occurs on major holidays like Christmas or New Year's Eve. An alert appears on the My Disney Experience mobile app on the rare occasion this happens. If you plan to purchase Disney Genie+ Service, select the "Multiple Parks" option to choose Lightning Lanes in both parks.

    Evening is my favorite time at Magic Kingdom Park! I like to arrive after an early dinner at a nearby resort (if you don't have reservations, try Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) and experience a few attractions before lining up to watch Happily Ever After. If you like thrills, consider purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane Entry for TRON Lightcycle/Run. This ride is incredible after dark.
