    Which resort would have the shortest monorail commute to/from the parks when we need to return for a mid-day nap with 2 children, ages 3 & 7? We are planning a trip in early Nov for MVMCP, with 2 days @ MK, and one day in each of the other parks.

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Jason!

    Sounds like you're planning a wonderful trip to Disney! Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is amazing and will put your family in the holiday spirit. Its smart that you're planning 2 days at the Magic Kingdom (MK) because at those ages, you'll need 2 days to see and do everything.

    There are 2 Monorail Lines that go to the MK, the Resort Monorail Line and the Express Monorail Line.

    The Express Monorail Line makes only 2 stops: the MK and the Transportation & Ticket Center which is adjacent to the parking lot for the MK.

    The other line is the Resort Monorail Line. There are 3 resorts along this line:
    * Disney's Contemporary Resort
    * Disney's Polynesian Resort
    * Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

    Leaving the MK, the Resort Monorail makes stops in this order:
    * Disney's Contemporary Resort
    * Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC)
    * Disney's Polynesian Resort
    * Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
    * Magic Kingdom

    The Contemporary Resort would be the first stop leaving the MK. You can also walk from MK to the Contemporary Resort in about 15 minutes.

    If you're staying at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, taking a boat from the Magic Kingdom may be a faster option depending on how long of a line there is for the Resort Monorail.

    To get to Epcot from any of the resorts along the Resort Monorail Line, you'd need to transfer from the Resort Monorail at TTC to the Epcot Monorail. You can walk from the Polynesian to TTC.

    If you'd like to visit Animal Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios, bus transportation is provided from the resorts along the Monorail Line to those parks.

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
