Hi Moms! Which resort has the shortest bus lines at park closing? My daughter has Aspergers and although she wants to stay until the park closes, she has difficulty waiting for and in overly crowded buses. Thanks!

    Hi Lori,

Unfortunately, we can't say with full certainty that any one resort consistently has the shortest bus lines at park closing time.  I have noticed, however, that the lines for the value resorts are often the longest.  My favorite resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, often has reasonable line lengths as does Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.  (I discovered this when I stayed there last June).

However, let me share one of my favorite tips for families looking to make it back to their resort quickly at the end of an exciting (and exhausting) day in the Disney theme parks.  Take a cab!  While this option isn't free, it is the fastest way to get back to your resort at the end of the day.  Just ask a Cast Member where the taxi stand is as you leave the park and you'll find several there waiting for you.  If you're tired and you suspect your daughter may not handle the line to the resort bus well, do yourself a favor and hire a cab.

Wishing you and your family many magical memories on your upcoming trip!

    Jill

PS.  Once you decide on a Disney resort, post a follow-up question to the Moms Panel and we'll provide suggestions for the quickest way (via complimentary Disney transportation) to return to your home resort.
