Hi, Susan! Welcome to planDisney! I love getting a chance to chat with another Floridian!
One of the best parts of living in the Sunshine State is being just a whistle away from the Walt Disney World Resort. That means we can pop over for a quick weekend visit anytime we like. But if your plans change, "Hakuna Matata!" No worries, Susan! You have some options if you find that you need to switch things up.
If you've purchased a
vacation package that includes a Resort hotel reservation and theme park tickets, you'll find the cancellation policy on the
Terms and Conditions page under the heading "Cancellation and Refunds." According to the policy, you can cancel up to 30 days in advance with no additional fee other than any third-party charges (such as airlines), and between two and 29 days with a $200 fee. Cancellations made within one day of arrival will not be refunded. Do note that these amounts and policies are subject to change.
On the other hand, if you've booked a
room-only reservation that doesn't include tickets, you can cancel up to five days before your arrival for a refund of your deposit. You'll find this information in the email confirmation your receive at booking, in the gray section at the bottom of the email. Also, you may be able to cancel your room reservation online through your
My Disney Experience account. Just log in and find your reservation, and look for an option to cancel or modify. It couldn't get any easier!
I hope knowing that you can make changes helps you make your vacation plans with peace of mind, Susan. Have fun planning, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
