My resort reservation says I'm arriving at 3 p.m. but I don't land in Orlando till 9p.m. Do I need to notify my resort?

Hey there, Kimberly! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question.

It looks like your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation has already begun! I hope your arrival went as smoothly as a ride on a Magic Carpet.

Typically, check-in time at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel is 3 p.m. on your arrival day. But if you'll be arriving later than that, don't worry. Genie can still work his magic! The check-in time of 3 p.m. is really the time that your room is expected to be ready. You can complete the check-in process anytime that day, whether before or after 3:00.

One way to help make your arrival a breeze is to take advantage of online check-in through your My Disney Experience app. You'll get a text with your room number when it's ready, so no matter what time your Magic Carpet lands, you can head straight for your room without having to visit the front desk. Phenomenal cosmic power!

I hope you're having a fabulous vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, Kimberly. If you have any more questions, just pull out the planDisney lamp, and we'll be at your service!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
