My resort reservation was booked through DVC, we were gifted a week. I was told by a Disney travel agent that bc of that the dining plan needs to be booked through DVC as well. Do you know how we do that?? Thank you!

    Hi Megan,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How wonderful to have been gifted with a week-long stay at a Disney Vacation Club resort! I am sure that you will find staying at one of these resorts to be a magical experience.

Yes, what you were told is true. Adding a Disney Dining Plan to a Disney Vacation Club reservation does need to be done through Disney Vacation Club. It also must be done by the Disney Vacation Club member. This can be done by calling Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800, or through the Vacation Center portion of the Disney Vacation Club website once the member has logged in and accessed the reservation. Please note that dining plans must be purchased with a traditional payment method such as a credit card. Vacation Points cannot be used to purchase a dining plan.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Megan! Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
