Hi there, Ashley!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us your question about your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It looks like you'll be visiting during one of my favorite times of year - the Halloween season. You'll likely see Main Street, U.S.A. at
Magic Kingdom Park decked out in festive fall décor and you may even have the opportunity to attend
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during your visit!
I'm happy to inform you that you can to
upgrade your room-only Disney Resort hotel reservation to a vacation package including theme park tickets. Booking your trip as a vacation package allows you to pay as you go leading up to your visit! Ashley, staying at a
Disney Resort hotel is a special experience in itself. After all, as a Resort hotel Guest, you'll be able to take advantage of perks like
early theme park entry and convenient
complimentary transportation! However, when you upgrade your room-only reservation to a vacation package, you'll also receive
Magical Extras which give you exclusive discounts at select vendors as well as vouchers to check out the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the awesome miniature golf courses on Walt Disney World Resort property. Also, since you're a Disney Visa Cardmember, be sure to visit the
Disney Visa Photo Spot at EPCOT for a special character experience and complimentary Disney PhotoPass dowload!
You have two options when it comes to upgrading your reservation, Ashley. You can either reach out to the friendly Cast Members at the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line for assistance, or you can
book a new vacation package online via the Walt Disney World Resort website and then cancel your existing room-only reservation. Once you book your vacation package, you'll pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking, then you'll have until one month before your scheduled arrival to pay the remaining balance. You can make a payment on your vacation any time by navigating to the "My Plans" tab of My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World Resort website and scrolling down to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. Here, you should see your Resort hotel reservation listed, along with a button allowing you to "Make a Payment."
Ashley, I'm wishing you a magical and memorable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Once you've secured your theme park tickets, don't forget to make
theme park reservations for the days you intend to visit the theme parks. Also, I encourage you to download the My Disney Experience mobile app ahead of your visit to take advantage of services like Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and Disney Genie+ service! If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back anytime, Ashley. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
