Are the resort refillable mugs watertight? Can they be used as a flask to take water to the parks in? Wondering if I will need to pack other water bottles otherwise. Thank you.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Jill, thank you for your loyalty and question!

Disney’s Rapid Fill resort refillable drink mugs have tight fitting lids with a latch at the lip, which opens and closes. They are similar to coffee travel mugs in design. You can indeed fill them with ice water and take them to the theme parks with you. Just keep them upright and try to store them in pockets of a backpack, not loose inside for fear of any spillage.

Disney’s Rapid Fill resort refillable drink mugs have replaced the old refillable drink mugs. They are now equipped with an RFID chip which stores the number of Disney Resort days you have purchased upon purchasing the mug. The beverage machines found in your Disney Resort hotel food court feature a screen that displays next refill information. The refill wait is approximately 2 minutes and the amount of fluid is 16 ounces. Your beverages are unlimited for the number of days of purchase of your drink mug.

    Tips:
The Rapid Fill day ends at 11:59 P.M. every day regardless of what time of day you first purchased the refillable drink mug.
Most Quick Service restaurants in the theme parks will only refill your drink mug with fresh cold water upon request, not with soda.

I hope this information is helpful to you Jill and wish you a wonderful vacation. We appreciate your questions and greatly look forward to assisting you in the near future.
