Which resort would you recommend staying with a five year old. She has never been to Disney.

You are in for such a fun trip, Ramona. It’s always extra magical to experience the whimsy of Walt Disney World through a child’s eyes, especially during a first visit!

We took my granddaughter to Disney for her first time when she was four. My honest opinion is that you cannot possibly go wrong choosing any of the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection. With that said, though, I’m happy to suggest some options!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort offers Guests larger-than-life landscapes that immerse families in scenes from some favorite films. Another great perk of staying here is that it is located along the Disney Skyliner Route and provides unique and convenient transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

An entirely different option would be Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Most families can’t help but be wowed once they set foot in this impressive lobby. And the Whispering Canyon Cafe provides a fun and delicious dining opportunity right on site!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
