Hello. What resort would you recommend for a single parent traveling with a 6 year old. Would love to stay somewhere nice with kids activities and great dining. Please help. Trying to book for this July 4th.

    Hi Amanda,

As a fellow single mom who has traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort many times with my children, let me assure you that any Disney Resort hotel will be an excellent choice for a number of reasons. Not only will you be fully immersed in Disney magic, but you will also be able to take advantage of Disney's Magical Express, which provides complimentary transportation from the Orlando International Airport, as well as complimentary Disney bus, monorail and water transportation once you arrive. All of these conveniences help to make travel to Walt Disney World as a single parent easy and hassle-free.

That said, I do have some personal favorites to recommend. In the Value Resort Hotel category, I expect your daughter would be jumping with excitement walking into the worlds inhabited by some of her favorite Disney animated characters at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. In the Moderate Resort Hotel category, the gorgeous and picturesque Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside features Royal Guest Rooms which pay homage to Princess Tiana and other Disney royalty. This would be a perfect fit for any young Princess. Finally, in the Deluxe Resort Hotel category, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is hard to beat. I expect both you and your daughter would go "wild" (pardon the pun) watching giraffes, zebras, gazelles and other exotic animals roaming the vast savannas.

Wherever you decide to stay, wishing you and your daughter a Magical upcoming trip!
