What resort would you recommend for 18 month old girl? We are planning 1st trip to disney February 2015 week before Presidents' Day. MK one day maybe Epcot another, thank you for any recommendations.

    Hi Angela:

I love that you are starting your child early on Disney.  You will remember the wonder on her face for a lifetime.  Remember to bring your camera and video camera to capture magical moments.

For an 18 month old child, boy or girl, my number one recommendation is to focus on convenience over theme.  You'll probably want to be able to easily head back to the Resort for a nap or some downtime.  The most convenient Resorts for Magic Kingdom and Epcot visits are Resorts on the monorail, the Polynesian, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian.  Wilderness Lodge is also a great Resort and only a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom (you can easily transfer to the monorail to visit Epcot).

The Epcot area Resorts, such as Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin, and Yacht and Beach, are wonderful choices and put you close to Epcot.

Your 18 month old will likely appreciate all of these Resorts.  If I had to chose one,  for an 18 month old, the Polynesian may be your best choice in terms of themeing.

    Enjoy your vacation.
