Can we use any of the resort pools like the Polynesian? We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heidi!

I love that you're planning pool time while vacationing. "Resort days," as I call them, are my favorite. Unfortunately, "pool hopping" is not permitted at the deluxe level resorts as they are gated and require a MagicBand with an active reservation to that resort to gain entry.

The only exception to the pool hopping rule are Disney Vacation Club Members who can pool hop to select resorts that include Disney Vacation Club villas and rooms. Even then, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Villas are off limits.

However, I think you'll find the Disney Port Orleans - Riverside pool, Ol' Man Island, amazing fun-in-the-sun. At three acres, it's actually larger than the Poly's and just as fun (having experienced both myself on several occasions). You are not going to be disappointed! And should you want a change of scenery, you are able to hop over to Port Orleans - French Quarter for a little Mardi Gras-inspired fun at their pool.

I hope this is helpful in your planning, Heidi! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions. I am a Walt Disney World® resort hotel pool aficionado.

    Happy swimming!
