Are the resort pools open during fall and winter?

Hi Emily and welcome back to planDisney!

Swimming at Walt Disney World is one of our favorite things to do on a Walt Disney World vacation!  You will often find us splashing around during a mid-day break, having an evening swim or even enjoying the attractions at the Disney Water Parks all year round.

I am happy to let you know that all of the Disney Resort hotel pools are open year round.  The only times they close is if they are scheduled for refurbishment, if there is lightning in the area or if it an extremely cold day and in that case, the Disney Water Parks close as well.  All of the Resort hotel pools are heated to approximately 82 degrees, so you only have to worry about getting chilly when you get out of the water.  Better have those towels ready!  Even in the cooler months, the sun is still warm, so it's always quite pleasant to take a dip in the pool.  Please note that Disney Resort hotel pools are only available to Guests staying at the hotel and most require a MagicBand or room key card for access.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
