Welcome to planDisney, Sidney.
Ah, there's nothing quite like relaxing in a hot tub during a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. All that walking around and being tossed to and fro on attractions can leave one's muscles in need of some TLC. In fact, hot tubs (or as Disney calls them, spas) are a great thing to enjoy on the first day of your visit. I remember staying at
Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge recently and as soon as I arrived at the hotel, I checked in and headed straight to the spa. It was so nice after a long day of travel.
Most of the
hotels at Walt Disney World Resort have spas, Sidney. You'll find spas at all the
Moderate,
Deluxe, and Disney Vacation Club resorts. Each hotel usually has two spas to choose from. Each spa is set to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Any Guest of the hotel can use the spa, however, children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision. You'll find spas of various sizes throughout the resorts. Some are able to accommodate up to 20 people, whereas some can only fit six people. When it comes to hours of operation, the spas tend to close when the main resort feature pools close. These hours vary seasonally and you'll find them posted at the pool gates. You can also ask a Cast Member at the front desk for the hours of operation. If it's late and the spas are closed, but you'd like to still swim, most resorts have smaller pools that are usually quieter and have longer hours of operation. However, the
Value resorts (i.e. Disney's All-Star Music/Sports/Movies, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Disney's Art of Animation Resort) do not have spas, I'm afraid. Spas are one of the many perks of paying a bit extra and staying at a Moderate or Deluxe resort.
I hope that's helpful, Sidney. I really appreciate you stopping by planDisney and letting us serve you. Please come and visit us again if you have any more questions. Happy planning!
