Welcome back to planDisney, Deborah!
I see that you’re a super planner like we are here at planDisney; I love that you can get the answers and insight you need to give you peace of mind on your vacations. With
2025 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and Halloween, there’s a lot going on toward the end of October. However, even with the runDisney enthusiasts in town, you can 100% have an enjoyable visit with a bit of planning.
I recommend that you start your days early, take a midday break at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and then finish the night at your favorite theme parks. Create a must-do/experience list with your family in order to waste no time figuring out a plan of action on the day of. And if your family are attractions lovers like my crew, consider purchasing a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Single Pass to maximize your time by skipping the standard queues.
If you’re still on property on October 25 and 26, there may be a growing number of Guests at EPCOT because many race participants are celebrating their weekend accomplishments with the help of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival tapas and drinks. Also, there is usually an after party event on Sunday night that overlaps with the day Guests’ theme park hours. We locals frequent EPCOT for its amazing festival on the weekends, too. So, although day-to-day theme park operations won’t be too different, I would plan to do your “EPCOT day” during the weekdays leading up to the Friday-Sunday events.
AN EXTRA GEM: The longest race of the weekend, the 13.1-mile half marathon, usually ends at EPCOT and because of its length, there’s a chance that you may see the last bunch of racers inside of the theme park as you start your day. Feel free to give them a cheer! Some of my greatest core memories are seeing the smiles and hearing the motivation from others after a grueling yet rewarding run.
Like Princess Tiana, I’m wishing on the evening star that you have The Most Magical vacation, Deborah. If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney. Any of the panelists will be more than happy to share their tips and tricks with you.
Magic always,
LeAndra
