Heigh-Ho Tricia!
A favorite Walt Disney World Resort for me is like Ariel's Thingamabobs..I've got 20! It seems like every time I try a new one, it's my new favorite. My first suggestion would be to check out the
Rooms For 5 Guests Or More page on Walt Disney World's website. Here you will find a list of all of the spacious options that can accommodate parties of 5 or more. My family and I have stayed in 15 different Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, and we love them for different reasons.
For families on a budget, I would choose Disney's Art of Animation Resort. You can't beat the themed rooms, the largest Resort Pool on Walt Disney World property (zero-entry even, Holla!), and the best resort casual dining venue on Walt Disney World property. I love their Create-Your-Own-Pasta station and the Surf and Surf Burger.
Moving on to the Deluxe Resorts, I have to choose Disney's Contemporary Resort for families with small children. Being able to walk to Magic Kingdom Park is priceless. Priceless, I tell you. My children love riding the Monorail, too, but when anyone is ready to leave, I love the peaceful stroll back to the resort while a child or two falls asleep in the stroller. With so many great restaurants on the Monorail Resort Loop, a delicious meal is always a quick ride or walk away.
For families with older children, the sans stroller crowd, I recommend Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Location is a magical thing, and Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are so close you can walk or take a boat, which is an attraction in itself. Disney's BoardWalk Inn is so charming and offers an extra bonus of entertainment, shopping, and dining on Disney's BoardWalk. Atlantic Dance Hall is my jam.
It really is hard to choose just one, but rest assured, every Walt Disney Resort Hotel has something magical to offer. We hope to see you real soon!
