Are the resort mugs safe to hold hot beverages? They are made of plastic and I thought that you are not suppose to put hot beverages into plastic containers. Thanks

    Hi Leanne,

Glad you visited us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Let me help you with your concern so you can finish up planning your best Walt Disney World vacation ever.

The refillable drink mugs available at all Disney Resort Hotels are a great deal. Available for purchase for a low price, they allow refills of soft drinks, coffee, tea, hot water and hot chocolate, at self-service beverage islands inside Quick-Service locations, at any Resort Hotel. They are also included with all Dining Plans and good for the duration of your stay. I use mine exclusively for coffee, and that is a must before hitting the Theme Parks.

A few years ago, my fellow Panelist Jill helped a Guest asking if the refillable mugs are BPA free. I just checked the ones we received on our last vacation this past December, and they are still being manufactured by Whirley Drink Works.

One last tip: if you have a Dining Plan as part of your stay, you can now check the balance of your meal entitlements with the My Disney Experience mobile app. Happy planning!

    Ricardo.
