Do resort lounges have to go options for drinks?

    Hi there, Alyssa!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm thrilled to see you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth for a dazzling winter getaway very soon! As someone who loves enjoying libations at the lounges on property, I'm happy to share my past experiences with you.

Alyssa, when it comes to takeout drink availability, you may encounter some variability between the many different lounges at the Disney Resort hotels and theme parks. Generally, in my experience, any Disney Resort hotel lounge that can serve drinks in plastic drinkware allows Guests to take their beverages to-go. When I've been in a hurry, I have personally taken to-go beverages from Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Gurgling Suitcase at Disney's Old Key West Resort, and Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If you have access to the pool area at your Disney Resort hotel, you can also get tasty to-go drinks from the pool bar (if available)! Also, inside the theme parks, I was recently able to take the remainder of an unfinished drink in a to-go cup from Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.

While I've grabbed drinks to go in the past when in a pinch, I highly recommend grabbing a seat and staying a while if you're able, Alyssa. The theming and attention to detail at the lounges and bars on property are truly stunning, so I encourage you to engage with the storytelling and immerse yourself if your schedule allows! A great example of this is Enchanted Rose, which is themed after Beauty and the Beast. While you sip, I challenge you to see how many film references you can spot inside the lounge! I've found that my most memorable moments at the Walt Disney World Resort have been those I've been fully present and aware of the magic around me.

Alyssa, I hope you've found this information useful and I wish you a wondrous wintertime stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional questions before or during your vacation, you can always pop back over to planDisney anytime! We're all ears.

    Cheers!
