Hey Howdy Hey Christine and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question on Resort ID. There are a few things online that still reference the Resort ID but usually is a very quick and easy explanation. I will be happy to give you a little more information on this.
The Resort ID is something that is referenced for things such as the
Early Theme Park Entry benefit. As long as you have booked a reservation at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or qualifying hotel that is linked to your
My Disney Experience account and a way to access it to start your day in the parks, that is all you need. With certain benefits, Disney just needs a way to verify that you qualify for them and usually a quick scan of your
MagicBand, MagicBand+,
MagicMobile Pass or access card will give them all the information they need.
You can check to see if you have your reservation properly linked to your My Disney Experience account by logging in and going to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. As long as you see your reservation linked, you should be all set! If you are going to the parks early for Early Theme Park Entry or anything else that references the Resort ID requirement, the Cast Members will scan the method of entry above to check to make sure that you do have a qualifying reservation booked.
Hopefully that was quick and easy to ensure you are set for your upcoming trip. As you continue to plan for your Magical vacation, please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Happy Planning,
Nick
