Hi Jeff,
Many of the Disney Resort Hotels offer immersive large-scale splash zone areas near their elaborately themed pools. Below you’ll find a list of my family’s favorites:
1. The splash area at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is themed after Alice in Wonderland. It features a huge Mad Hatter’s hat which tips, pouring water on the littlest Guests below.
2. The Uwanja Camp splash zone at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Villas offers a water playground with 3 distinct areas, where kids can frolic through a gently bubbling geyser and shallow cistern pool.
3. Don't miss the fabulously Polynesian-themed water play area, complete with gushing water ‘Kiki Tikis’ and waterslide, at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
4. The Schoolyard Sprayground at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is home to pop-up jets, gushing water and familiar faces from the movie Finding Nemo.
5. There is an
Aquatic Play Area at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter.
6. At Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, little ones can play at the Shipwreck splash zone. It offers mini slides, a crow’s nest and a barrel that dispenses a drenching downpour.
7. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa features a Donald Duck play area where kids can frolic through bubbling jets and splash down a mini waterslide. Also at this same resort hotel, there is another aquatic play area boasting 2 pint-sized slides—including a miniature curving waterslide.
8. Both Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort have more basic water play areas. At the former it is located near the Fantasia building. At the latter, it is stationed just behind the Hippy Dippy Pool.
