Boo to you, Bertha!
I understand you're planning a spooktacular Halloween at Walt Disney World Resort. The
trick to making the most of your resort-hopping day is to
treat yourself to some resort-exclusive snacks. Zebra Domes are a must-have sweet from
The Mara at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and
seasonal items such as the Caramel Apple-Sugar Cookie and Haunted Mansion Éclair from
Contempo Café at Disney's Contemporary Resort are frightfully flavorful. I recommend placing a
mobile food and beverage order in the My Disney Experience mobile app for easy pick-up.
Each
Disney Resorts Collection hotel has its own unique personality and Halloween activity offerings. The best thing you can do at each resort you visit is to take a picture of the resort's Halloween activities board, which is most often found in the resort lobby and/or by the main pool area. This information is not officially posted online though I am a part of many resort-specific social media groups that share activity board screenshots frequently.
Last year, my family stayed at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa over Halloween. There was a special Halloween event from 5:00-8:00 p.m. featuring an Arts and Crafts Station, Pumpkin Patch, Papa Julio's Refrescos Station, Rivera's Shoe Shop, and Trick-or-Treat Trail. There were also themed poolside activities for Guests with pool access beginning at 12:30 p.m. This particular resort also has a
Community Hall, which featured a variety of Halloween crafts. Some crafts like color-your-own Halloween masks and door hangers were complimentary. Other crafts like Halloween ceramics were available for a reasonable fee.
A friendly note about the logistics of resort hopping, Bertha. You are welcome to take complimentary
transportation (bus, boat, Monorail, or Disney Skyliner) between the theme parks and resorts, but will need to make alternate arrangements for resort-to-resort transport. Rideshare vehicles are one such option and
Minnie Vans, operated via the Lyft app, are pixie dust on wheels. Parking at a Disney Resort hotel is only an option if you have a confirmed dining reservation and is offered for the length of your dining experience.
I hope this information helps you plan a practically perfect Halloween, Bertha. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
