We are resort hoping for our upcoming stay. Staying @ all star movies 5/19-20, OKW 5/20-27, then 1 night at All Star Sports 5/27-28. Can I make dining reservations for my entire trip 60 days from 5/19? Not sure if resort hopping effects the 60 day mark.

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Christina. I always love seeing a fellow North Carolinian stop by to chit-chat. Your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up in just a few short months. I bet you are getting so excited!

Christina, split stays are always so much fun. It's a great way to check off multiple resorts - especially if you'd eventually like to stay at them all as I do. I have just a few left on my list. When doing a split stay, Christina, you will have to break up your advanced dining reservations because you have two different check-in days.

You can make your dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in day. This can be done starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time online via your MyDisneyExperience account or over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. You'll want to set your alarm bright and early because the best restaurants can fill up rather quickly. I like to have my notebook with all of my must-dine places listed out beside the bed along with my phone so I can be up and ready a little bit before 6:00 a.m. Since you are doing a split stay, you'll need to do this process twice - 60 days prior to both check-in days.

If you are in need of some dining recommendations, I have so many. But right now, my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World happens to be The BOATHOUSE located in Disney Springs. It is set right on the lake and provides stunning views as the sun goes down over Disney Springs. The restaurant is known for its seafood and steaks but there is really something on the menu for everyone. I always get the lobster roll served warm with butter and upgrading to the truffle fries is a must. Yum! Another restaurant I'm loving right now is Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's a delicious steakhouse at a reasonable price which I for one really appreciate. The menu is a creative list of old-time classics and some of Walt's favorite dishes that get elevated to modern times. Everything has a story so it's dinner and an experience.

I hope this helps, Christina. If you have any other questions as you finalize your trip plans, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
