Are resort guests allowed in park 1 hour before rope drop even if it’s not magic hours

    Hi Judy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us!

Guests are allowed to enter Magic Kingdom one hour prior to park opening to enjoy the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. before the Let the Magic Begin show. Check the Park Hours for the dates of your visit. That early morning time in the parks is special to us.

We now always do a few pre-park opening dining reservations so that we can enter the park before other guests. Walking down an almost empty Main Street, U.S.A. is simply magical. Some of our favorite restaurants for pre-park opening dining reservations are Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Hollywood & Vine and Be Our Guest Restaurant. Just make sure there are no early morning Extra Magic Hours on the dates of your pre-park opening dining reservations.

Judy, the key is early arrival! We prefer to arrive early then leave right after lunchtime so that we can enjoy the pool at our resort hotel. Then, we head back to the parks at night to enjoy additional attractions and the fireworks. If you have not seen it, I encourage you to view the Happily Ever After fireworks show. It is AMAZING!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
