Hello there, Rebecca. I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney to ask your question.
Pool days at Walt Disney World are absolutely my favorite.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have some of the very best pools I've ever been in. Each is uniquely themed and so much fun so I can see why you would be interested in checking them all out. Unfortunately, Guests are not able to pool hop at Walt Disney World. The pools at each resort are reserved exclusively for the Guests staying at that particular resort. Only on rare occasions, like the main pool being closed for refurbishment, has this been allowed. The other exception to this rule is, what I consider to be, sister resorts. So for instance, Guests staying at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort or Guests Staying at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort are allowed to share pools. Same with all of the All-Star Resorts. However, if you are staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge you would not be able to head over to Disney's Contemporary Resort to spend a day poolside there.
I suggest when picking a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to stay at, you pick the one that has the most appealing pool to you. There are many different options to choose from because they are all so different. Some have splash pads for little kids, some have multiple waterslides and some have spas to relax in after a long day at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Some of my favorite resort pools can be found at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
If you want to switch up your pool day, maybe consider checking out a water park while you are at Walt Disney World. My family and I love Disney's
Blizzard Beach Water Park which is currently open at this time. The Disney water parks are a great way to take a break from the theme parks midway through a vacation. They can be relaxing or adventurous depending on what you like and have something for all ages to enjoy.
I hope this helps you plan which resort to stay at for your next Walt Disney World vacation, Rebecca. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me.
Happy planning!
