    What are resort fees

    Hi Melinda,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question about the cost of booking a resort at Walt Disney World.

I have good news: None of the Disney-operated resorts on Disney property charge an extra fee for parking or a mandatory "resort fee," whether you are staying at a value, moderate or deluxe resort. As a guest, you have access to a range of benefits that are included in your room price, including Early Entry into the theme parks, Movies Under the Stars, access to the complimentary Disney transportation system and more.

If you choose one of the on-property partner hotels or a Good Neighbor hotel, you may find additional fees for parking or a resort fee. Those will vary by property, and you can check directly with that hotel for specifics on additional fees.

If you are looking to book a room in the Disney Resorts Collection, make sure you check for Special Offers. Those can add significant savings to your stay. For example, right now, there are savings offers for Disney Visa cardholders, members of the US military, and Disney+ subscribers. And there are room discounts and travel package offers for all guests.

If you don't see an offer online for the dates or the resort you are considering, I find it helpful to call the Tickets & Hotel Reservations line and speak to a cast member who can help you sort through the details and make your reservation.

I hope that is helpful, Melinda. Please let us know if you have other questions about planning your magical visit to Walt Disney World.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
