Since the resort is encouraging cashless payment. Can you put Disney gift cards on your My Disney Experience account instead of using a credit card.

Hi Julie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.

I am happy to report back that yes, you can absolutely use your Disney Gift Card on My Disney Experience but only for mobile ordering. However, there is a workaround here to use your Disney Gift Cards for other purchases as well!

For us, the easiest way to use the Disney Gift Card is to apply the full balance to our account at our Walt Disney World Resort hotel. This way we can use our MagicBands as we normally would with a credit card attached to our account, but it’s nice to know we have a little extra spending money.

It’s almost been an annual tradition that my parents give my wife, daughter, and I Disney Gift Cards for the holidays. This way we can collect them and take them on our next Disney vacation (and trust me, there’s always a “next” vacation).

To do this, I would recommend chatting with a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World hotel and they will make the process of adding the value of your Disney Gift Card extremely easy and of course, magical.

If you have any other questions please let us know. Otherwise, be sure to tell Mickey I said hello!
