How does the resort charge account work

    Hi Barbara,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I always say there are lots of great reasons to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and the convenience of using your MagicBand to charge your shopping and dining to your Walt Disney World hotel room is just one of those reasons.

When you check-in upon arrival or when you complete Online Check-in before your arrival, you'll be asked to place a credit card on file for hotel account charges and incidental expenses. You'll also be asked to set up a personal identification number (PIN) that you can use when paying for food or merchandise with your MagicBand. Throughout your visit, when you make a purchase, you can simply tap your MagicBand to the payment point and enter your PIN. During your stay, you can use the My Disney Experience Mobile App and its "My Reservation" feature to see your hotel room details and use the "View Charges" feature to see your room charges. After you check out, you can expect to receive an email with a copy of your full resort bill for your stay, including the details for any charges made to your hotel account.

Barbara, I hope this information helps you with your Walt Disney World vacation planning. If you have any additional questions as you make your plans, please ask away here at Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're happy to help.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
