Resort is booked, tickets bought, theme park reservations made. Last thing was buying Magic bands. Due to being out of country, the magic bands are being delivered to the hotel. Will they already be linked? Or will a cast member do that for us at checkin?

    Welcome to planDisney, Zac!

As someone who likes to plan every detail of my Walt Disney World vacations as soon as possible, I love hearing that you have things all lined up for your upcoming visit.  Nice work!  Once you have those MagicBands strapped on, you'll be ready to hit the ground running faster than you can say "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocius".  It sounds like the only thing left to do before you arrive in May is book a few advance dining reservations, especially if you're hoping to grab a table at an exciting new spot, like Space 220 Lounge.  Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance and if you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to book reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days), beginning at that 60-day mark.  It looks like that date is coming up for you at the end of March, so be sure to keep an eye on your calendar.

Now, let's talk MagicBands! As the parent of someone who left their MagicBand on the airplane during our last trip, believe me when I say there are perks to having your bands waiting for you at your Resort.  Not only are they one less thing to pack, but they should be all set up and ready to use as soon as you arrive, just like they would be if they were mailed directly to you. You can even verify that everything is in order before you check in by visiting the Walt Disney World website and clicking on "My MagicBands and Cards" under the "My Disney Experience" tab.  There, you'll find each member of your traveling party and the band linked to their name.

On the off-chance that one of your bands isn't working correctly when you arrive (we all know how technology goes sometimes, right?), don't worry –– it should be a pretty simple issue to correct.  If you're at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, simply stop by the Front Desk for assistance.  If you happen to have trouble while you're visiting a Walt Disney World theme park, you can head over to a Guest Relations location where a friendly Cast Member will be happy to help and have you on your way in no time.

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question, Zac.  I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with pixie-dusted adventures from beginning to end!
