Hello from sunny Florida, Shelley! Welcome to planDisney!
Living here in the Sunshine State means having the Walt Disney World Resort as a neighbor, and what a fantastic neighbor it is!
Florida residents can take advantage of some great deals and discounts on theme park tickets and more, so let's take a look at how it works.
When it comes to buying theme park tickets, any adult who plans to use a ticket meant for Florida residents must
show proof of residency before the ticket can be activated for park admission. For Guests under age 18, Disney's policy states that the adult buying the ticket must be a Florida resident and show proof of residency to activate the ticket. That means a Floridian may buy tickets for young nieces and nephews, but they'll need to be present and provide one of the accepted documents to do so.
Shelley, once you have your tickets squared away, don't forget to make Disney Park Pass theme park reservations ahead of your visit. It's easy, and it's a very important part of the vacation planning process. Make sure you're logged in to your
My Disney Experience account, hop over to the
Disney Park Pass page on the Walt Disney World website, and follow the prompts to make reservations for everyone in your party. Also, to have all of your plans at your fingertips, be sure to add the
My Disney Experience mobile app to your phone. It will help you track all of your reservations, plus view daily theme park hours, check real-time attraction wait times, find your way with interactive maps, and more. It's definitely a must-have during your vacation!
I hope this helps you plan an amazing visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, Shelley. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
