Hi! I am a FL resident and have the Platinum Plus. My lass expires in February. When I renew I want to go down to Gold. Do I still get the 15% discount for renewing?

Hi there, Matthew, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There are so many reasons to love living here in the Sunshine State - not the least of which is all the different choices we have for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! There really is a Florida Resident Ticket or Pass for just about everyone. And it's easy to make changes when it comes time to renew your Florida Resident Annual Pass if you decide a different option works better for you.

I just checked with a Guest Relations Cast Member about changing your Annual Pass from Platinum Plus to Gold. Since you'll be within your renewal window (60 days before and 30 days after the Pass expires), all you need to do is select your new Pass when you renew, and you'll pay the renewal price for the new Pass. So in your case, instead of selecting Platinum Plus, you'll select Gold and pay the Gold renewal rate.

And Matthew, now that you plan to renew, be sure to put that shiny new Gold Annual Pass to good use! There are lots of Passholder benefits to take advantage of, including some exclusive Passholder offers at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Pretty sure I'm going to have to pick up those Figment cookies!

I hope this helps you enjoy another year of magical Disney days, Matthew. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
