Welcome back to planDisney. I think one of the best things about being a Florida resident is having the opportunity to become a
Disney Annual Passholder. There are many benefits to it, and I will share a few with you shortly. For now lets get to your question so you can potentially become a passholder as well.
Since I’m an Annual Passholder, I was able to speak with a cast member at V.I.PASSHOLDER Support to help get you an answer. What they told me was that since there are so many different ticket types, especially when you book a package, the best thing for you to do would be to either speak with a cast member at
Tickets & Hotel Reservations or at
Guest Relations at any one of the parks or Disney Springs. A friendly cast member will be able to evaluate your current tickets and help to determine if you qualify to upgrade to the Annual Passholder Program. They mentioned that you can check the Tickets & Passes section of the
My Disney Experience app; if an upgrade option is available, you may see it there. They noted that not all upgrades will appear in the app, so please contact them using one of the methods I mentioned earlier. One thing the cast member wanted me to make sure you were aware of is that any upgrade must be made either before your trip or before you complete it. You will not be eligible for an upgrade to an annual pass after your ticket has expired.
Now, back to some of the benefits I wanted to share with you. Did you know that standard parking is included with an annual pass? This is a great perk if you plan to drive to the parks. You also get discounts at select dining locations. Discounts on merchandise might be my favorite perk. There is also merchandise available only to passholders, available throughout the parks.
