Hi Pat!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a great question about Florida Resident tickets! I think the best Disney memories are made with family and I am happy to help answer your question so your 'Ohana can all start enjoying a magical visit together!
Grandparents may purchase Florida Resident Tickets for themselves and their grandchildren under the age of 18. Any guest using a Florida Resident Ticket over the age of 18 is required to show
proof of residency either online at the time of purchase or in person at the Walt Disney World Resort. Grandparents purchasing tickets for their grandchildren will need to show the same proof of residency to activate those tickets as well.
When we visit with extended family, I enjoy all of us coming together for a nice meal at the end of the day. Character dining offers a great opportunity for families to have a relaxing meal while also saying hi to some of their favorite Disney friends! I love dining at
Garden Grill as your meal is served family style so you won't need to be running back and forth to the buffet throughout dinner. You also get to meet Mickey and some of his best pals in a unique location that features a rotating view of
Living with the Land. Wherever you choose to dine, please remember that
reservations are recommended for Table-Service restaurants and are available 60 days ahead of your arrival.
I would also suggest purchasing
Memory Maker for your vacation. I'm sure there will be countless special moments and magical memories that you'll want to capture while in the parks. Did you know you can link up to 25 members of your
Friends & Family list to your Memory Maker? This means that even if you go your separate ways throughout the day, you'll still be able to access photos from everyone. Don't forget to make this purchase at least three days before you arrive to take advantage of discounted pricing!
Pat, I hope your family enjoys a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World Resort and I invite you to be our guest again here a planDisney with any other vacation planning questions you have in the future!
See ya real soon,
Kristi
