    Hi. Have a FL resident Gold pass. Have friends coming to town during March/April blockout dates (naturally!) so know I need to buy a park ticket for the day, but wondering if free parking and 20% shopping discounts are still valid during blockout?

    Howdy Carolyn!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   My in-laws are Florida residents and they take advantage of the wonderful discounts available to Guests of the Sunshine State whenever they have the chance.   I am happy to help share what they have told me as well as fellow Moms Panelists who also call Florida home.

    Special Tickets, Passes and Offers for Florida Residents are always available on the Walt Disney World website.  One of these are Florida Resident Annual Passes.   The Gold Pass which you purchased does have blackout dates during the most popular times of year, including Spring Break in March/April.  I have reached out to fellow panelists who have this pass and they assured me you would still be able to utilize the amazing benefits of being a Passholder including free parking and discounts.  My fellow panelist Emille, answered a similar question recently and you may want to check out her answer as well.
