If a FL resident buys discount tickets for grandchildren or children and bring them to park with other adults who are not FL residents, do the FL residents have to have park tickets too or can they validate the children’s tickets but not go in themselves?

Hello again, Shelley! Thanks for stopping by for another visit with your planDisney pals!

We all know that grandparents love to do nice things for the grandkids, and what could be nicer than getting them tickets to Walt Disney World? But if the grands aren't up for a full day in the theme parks, Hakuna Matata! No worries! Florida residents must provide proof of residency when buying tickets that will be used by children, but once that's done, the tickets are activated and ready to use. The grandparents won't need to be present at any other point in the family's vacation. But hopefully, they'll be able to join you for at least some of the fun!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
