When reserving a performance with meal, such as Fantasmic or the River of lights at Animal Kingdom are there still characters at those meals also? So do you go to the meal and experience character interaction and then also get your premier show seating?

    Welcome BACK, Katie!

Dining at Disney has taken on a life of its own. From gourmet food trucks to culturally accurate dishes in Epcot's World Showcase, cake decorating classes in Disney Springs and even Dessert Parties while enjoying a firework show, I like to say that Walt Disney World Resort is now an Eat park, too!

This is a great question, one that I actually asked for my own Magical vacation in May. And I'm very happy to answer Yes, you will experience both! The two Character Dining locations that participate in Dining Packages do include both dining with your favorite Disney pals and then seats in a reserved section of that nights nighttime spectacular. With the Rivers of Light Dining Package in Disney's Animal Kingdom, you'll want choose the Tusker House Restaurant where you'll hang out with Safari Mickey, Explorer Donald, Voyager Daisy and Journeyman Goofy. These favorites will be available all day no matter which meal you choose. At Disney's Hollywood Studios for the Fantasmic! Dining Package, you'll choose dining at Hollywood & Vine. If you visit at breakfast, you'll see and snuggle Disney Junior friends from Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Roadster Racer Goofy, and Jake. If you book lunch or dinner, you'll meet the fab five, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy, dressed to match the current season.

I hope this helped to plan your Disney Days, Katie!
