When reserving a fast pass where we anticipate making use of the rider switch, do we all need a fast pass?

Hi, Robyn! Before our younger daughter was tall enough to ride some of her now favorite Walt Disney World Resort attractions, we frequently used the Rider Switch Service. All you have to do is bring your entire party, including the child who does not meet the height requirement, to the entrance of the attraction and let the Cast Member know you need to use Rider Switch. The first party will enter the normal queue for the attraction while at least one adult waits with the little prince or princess. When the first party exits the attraction, the second adult may enter the FastPass+ queue with up to two other guests.

At this time, Robyn, the guests in the second party do not need to have a FastPass+ in order to use the Rider Switch Service. Back when my little princess did not quite measure up, I used a different FastPass+ selection for both of us or experienced a nearby attraction without a height requirement so she could still have fun instead of waiting on big sister and Dad. Then when we were finished, I would head off for fun with big sister and the Rider Switch pass. This gave both my husband and I a chance to go Soarin', while our older daughter had double the fun on her favorite attraction!

I hope you have a great vacation with your little one at Walt Disney World Resort. Please let us know if we can help you plan more of your visit!
