Bright suns, Fred! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.
Droid Depot at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has the droids you are looking for. Guests can
book a reservation to build their own BB-Series or R-Series astromech droid up to 180 days in advance. During the Droid Depot experience, you will be able to choose parts for your droid from a conveyor belt, assemble it, and bring it to life in an activation station. Once activated, your droid can interact with other astromech droids and various Bluetooth-enabled elements and devices as you carry it throughout the land. Personality chips are available to purchase at an additional charge to further customize your droid's interactive responses. Your droid will make the perfect traveling companion as you explore Black Spire Outpost.
If Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge would happen to reach capacity on the day that you wish to travel to Batuu, you would need to sign up for a boarding group using your
My Disney Experience mobile app. You would then be alerted as to when it is your turn to enter the land. So far, crowd levels at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge have been very reasonable, and the boarding group system was only needed during the first couple of days that the land was open to guests.
If boarding groups ever need to be assigned again, travelers with reservations for Droid Depot,
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers, and
Oga's Cantina would be able to enter the land up to one hour before their reservation time. The Droid Depot experience is limited to the builder and one guest, and at least one person in the party must be age 14 or older. The builder and his or her guest would be permitted to enter Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for their Droid Depot reservation, even if the land is near capacity.
I hope you have a blast living out your very own Star Wars adventure! 'Til the Spire!
Samantha
