Reserving the Castaway Cay Adult and Family Cabanas don’t appear to be listed anymore under the Castaway Cay Port Adventure, where have the cabana’s been moved to? Please help me locate it. Thanks

    Ahoy Vinette!

I SEA that you are getting shipshape for your Disney cruise to the Bahamas! Are you ready to experience Castaway Cay? This little slice of paradise is calling and you MUST go!

Disney Cruise Line’s private island boasts 20 Family Cabanas and 4 cabanas on the adults exclusive Serenity Bay. Depending on the ship, itinerary, and the time of year, these cabanas can book up in a flash. I like your determination in trying to snag one for your Disney cruise.

Once your cruise is paid in full and your advance booking window opens, you would log in under "My Reservations" and then look under "My Cruise Activities" to book a Castaway Cay cabana. You are totally correct: cabanas would be listed under the Port Adventures for your Castaway Cay day. They will not show up under the general list of Castaway Cay Port Adventures; you have to be logged into your account to see them.

So you don’t see cabanas listed there at all? Typically, when the cabanas get fully booked, they still show at the very bottom of that Port Adventures list but will be greyed out; that’s how you know if they have all been booked up already. Since priority for reserving cabanas is given first to Concierge guests, then open for booking at different stages for Castaway Club levels (Platinum, Gold, and Silver), my hunch is that they have already been filled for your sailing and that’s why you aren’t seeing them anymore.  Sorry...this makes me feel like Wreck-It Ralph to say that!

With any system, glitches can happen...just ask Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck-It Ralph. So be sure to call a Cast Member at Disney Cruise Line. They will be your Fix-It Felix and can check it for you. Who knows, if the website is acting glitchy, then it’s doing that for everyone. So there could still be cabanas available either on the Castaway Cay Family Beach or on the adult-exclusive Serenity Bay.

If a cabana is still not available after all this, keep checking back online as some Guests may change their plans. Once onboard, you can also stop by the Port Adventures Desk to add yourself to a waitlist, and they will notify you if a cabana becomes available during your sailing.

Rev your engines and race back to planDisney with more planning questions; we'd love to play the planning game with you. It's a "Sugar Rush!" Regardless of how the cabana situation turns out, I hope you have a fantastic day of fun in the sun on Castaway Cay.

    Bon voyage!
