Hi Ashley,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted to hear that you are using one of the
Disney Dining Plans!
Dining plan entitlements should only be accessible to the guests in the room with the dining plan. Your dining plan entitlements will be attached to the MagicBands of the guests with the dining plan and all of those entitlements will be available when you check-in at the beginning of your stay. The good news is that you can use them in whichever order you choose. If you dine with the other party, the cast member who serves you will verify how many dining plan entitlements you intend to use and will scan your MagicBand to retrieve your dining plan entitlements. You will need to determine the method of payment for any members of the party who do not use dining plan entitlements.
Since my family loves using one of the Disney Dining Plans, I will offer a few additional suggestions. First, remember that your meal entitlements are calculated per night of stay. I also chart out all of our dining experiences to make sure we have enough meal entitlements to last for the entire trip. We typically use one meal entitlement on the day we arrive, one on departure day and the rest on the days in between arrival and departure. We also dine at a few signature restaurants when using the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.
Ashley, I do hope you are making advanced dining reservations, especially for character meals and especially if all of you are dining together. Our girls still adore The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. We also love doing pre-park opening dining reservations at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and Be Our Guest Restaurant!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
