We have reserved more table service meals than our dining plan covers. For the table service meals where I'm paying out of pocket, can I use a dining plan snack credit to get dessert with that meal?

    Hi Lori,

Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. You'll be arriving just in time to start celebrating the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting!

My family loves the Disney Dining Plans, but the only issue we then have is picking up the restaurants to enjoy. So many good choices, one better than the next one! On every trip we try to dine at restaurant we haven't experience. Our favorite so far? Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot.

Sometimes we don't have enough Table Service credits for our whole trip, so I can understand your question. First, we try to maximize Disney Dollar value, so we look at the online menus to have an idea of the prices and decide which restaurant we may pay out of pocket. Unfortunately, you cannot redeem a Snack credit at a Table Service restaurant, but if dessert is a must, you may want so simply enjoy an appetizer and that sweet delicacy, skipping the entree. Or you could share a dessert and later enjoy a good old Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar.

One last tip: make sure you download the My Disney Experience mobile app. It's a great way to keep track of all your planning, and very useful to modify your reservations. See you real soon!
